It puts the stick where your body expects it. A HOTAS on the center pole sits between your knees like in a fighter, and NLR lists 80 mm of height adjustment and a 74-degree angle range to get the grip right. No more stick creeping across the desk when you pull hard in a DCS merge.
The flight plate arms mount on top for airplane setups or lower for helicopter collectives. Side joysticks, throttles and rudder pedals are all on the supported list.
Both, and that's the clever part. Lockable castor wheels let you roll it up to your desk and fly with the monitors you already own. At 43.1 kg it's not something you carry around, but you can push it back when the flight is over.
One catch for yoke pilots: the yoke goes on NLR's Flight Stand Pro, sold separately. If you fly airliners with a yoke, count that in, or look at a cockpit that lists a yoke mount out of the box.
