Next Level Racing Flight Simulator review and specs

Spec-sheet comparison, not a hands-on test. We have not tried the Next Level Racing Flight Simulator ourselves: the score and details are based on the official Next Level Racing spec sheet and dated US prices.

Standard edition (NLR-S018); Boeing Military, Boeing Commercial and MSFS editions sold separately

9.3Excellent · out of 10

The cockpit for the pilot who flies a bit of everything: a yoke for the liner, a center stick for the warbird, side sticks and throttles for the rest, and the seat in the box. $799, $100 more than the Flight Seat Pro, and the one we'd pick when a yoke is part of the plan.

  • One cockpit for commercial, military, general aviation and space setups, with a seat cut-out for a center-mounted HOTAS stick
  • Side arms adjust 300 mm laterally and 75 mm in height; the center pole adds 150 mm of height travel
  • Supports users from 4 ft to 6 ft 9 in and up to 330 lb (150 kg); seat, 4-point harness and keyboard/mouse pads included

What changes in the cockpit

One frame, several flight decks. NLR sells it for commercial, military, general aviation and space setups, and the supported list reads like a hangar inventory: yoke, center HOTAS stick, dual joysticks, throttles, rudder pedals. The seat has a cut-out so a center-mounted stick sits where a fighter pilot expects it.

The side arms move 300 mm laterally and 75 mm in height, and the center pole adds 150 mm of height travel. Sidestick on the left arm for an Airbus night, yoke up front for a Boeing weekend.

Room, screens and what else to buy

This is a spare-room purchase, not a desk accessory. NLR gives 153 x 99 x 122 cm and 49.5 kg, rated for users up to 330 lb. Seat, 4-point harness and keyboard and mouse pads are included. The flight controls are not, and NLR's list of what's in the box stops there: plan where the screens go, or fly in VR.

NLR's US store showed it out of stock when we checked on October 29, 2026. Look at availability before you clear the room.

Great if you…

  • fly yoke aircraft and stick aircraft and want both mounted properly
  • want the seat and harness in the box
  • want one frame that can switch between Boeing, Airbus, GA and DCS setups

Skip it if…

  • you fly HOTAS only and want to keep using your desk: the Flight Seat Pro does that for less
  • you don't have a corner of a room to give it
  • you need it this week and the US store is still out of stock

Better fit elsewhere?

The Next Level Racing Flight Seat Pro ($699) rolls up to your desk, but its yoke goes on the Flight Stand Pro, sold separately. The Trak Racer TR8 Pro Flight Simulator Cockpit with Seat is $200 more, with side mounts, a sliding yoke mount and a rudder mount, but no harness in the box.

The F-GT Elite with the Elite Flight Pack is the heavier frame at $1,298, seat not included. All four are ranked in the best flight sim cockpits.

The verdict

If your flying mixes a yoke and a stick, the Flight Simulator is the most complete cockpit we list for the money: seat, harness and mounts for every control, $799 on October 29, 2026.
