If you only read one line: Airbus pilots should take the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition at $129.99, and anyone flying props on a budget the Logitech Flight Throttle Quadrant at $69.99. Here are all 5 throttle quadrants we track, ranked. Spec-sheet comparison, not a hands-on test: scores from official spec sheets and US prices.
Match the aircraft you fly most. Airbus: the TCA or the URSA MINOR 32, with their detents. Boeing: the MOZA takes a Boeing lever module, and the Bravo carries airliner and GA lever sets in the same box (see Bravo vs TCA Quadrant Airbus). Piston singles and twins: the Logitech's prop and mixture heads. Fighters: the MOZA or the VIRPIL.
Detents you can turn off. Detents help on a liner and get in the way in a Cessna. The TCA lets you switch off detents and reversers, the URSA MINOR has its no-detent mode, and the VIRPIL takes different detent plates. If you fly both kinds of airplane, check this line before anything else.
Four engines. Thrustmaster lets you link a second TCA quadrant for four-engine airliners. The Bravo is configurable from single- to four-engine aircraft out of the box, with six levers.
PC only, mostly. All five ranked quadrants are PC only. On Xbox, the Bravo works only in addition to the Alpha XPC or the Honeycomb Xbox Hub; the best flight sim controls for Xbox covers the console side.
The ranking in detail
How the list reads: the top two are Airbus-style twin-lever quadrants on Hall sensors, tied at 9.0/10 and only $15.11 apart. The Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition has working reversers and Idle, Climb, Flex and TO-GA detents you can switch off for light aircraft, and Thrustmaster lets you link a second one for four-engine liners. The WINCTRL URSA MINOR 32 Throttle Metal answers with engine master switches under lift-to-unlock guards, vibration modules driven by flight data and a one-touch no-detent mode.
Third is the GA pick: the Logitech Flight Throttle Quadrant gives you three levers with swappable heads for throttle, prop and mixture, and it's the cheapest quadrant here. Fighter pilots should look lower. The MOZA MTQ Throttle Quadrant ships with fighter-style levers and four axes for $199, with Airbus and Boeing modules as $39 add-ons; the VIRPIL MongoosT-50CM4 Throttle brings twin levers and four detent plate sets for $369.95. And the Honeycomb Bravo ($299.99) isn't ranked at all: Honeycomb publishes too few specs for a score, which says nothing bad about the hardware.
