180° of yoke rotation

Roll rotation stated by Honeycomb Aeronautical, read by Hall effect sensors.

What changes before takeoff

The flows change. Before engine start you flip the master and the avionics on real switches instead of clicking a panel with the mouse, then turn the ignition through its positions. For GA flying, or rehearsing checklists between real lessons, that's the part that feels like an airplane.

On the yoke itself, Honeycomb lists 180° of rotation on Hall effect sensors with no center detent. No detent means no little bump as you roll through wings level, which you'll appreciate holding a shallow bank on the turn to final.

Desk or home cockpit?

At 4.65 kg without its mounting plate, this is a serious piece of hardware for a desk. Give it a solid surface, and check the mounting against your desk on Honeycomb's page before you order.

There's no throttle in the box. Honeycomb's own Bravo Throttle Quadrant is $299.99, and on Xbox, Honeycomb says the Bravo only works in addition to the Alpha XPC or the Honeycomb Xbox Hub. So on console, the yoke you buy also decides how the rest of your setup connects.

Great if you…

  • fly GA and want switches and an ignition under your fingers
  • fly on Xbox or Mac as well as PC: all three are on the spec sheet
  • plan to build out with the Honeycomb Bravo throttle and Charlie pedals

Skip it if…

  • you want throttle levers in the box: the VelocityOne Flight has them
  • you fly Boeing liners and want a pendular yoke: see the TCA Yoke Boeing Edition
  • you want every figure published. Pitch travel, axes and buttons are not on the spec sheet.

Better fit elsewhere?

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System puts a yoke, a throttle quadrant and a trim wheel in one unit, at $329.99 instead of $399.99 on October 29, 2026: VelocityOne Flight vs Alpha. On a tighter PC budget, the Logitech Flight Yoke System includes a three-lever quadrant for $179.99: Alpha vs Logitech Flight Yoke System.

Flying the big Boeings? The Thrustmaster TCA Yoke Boeing Edition is $50 more, with a pendular pitch mechanism and two throttle axes on the base. Four yokes, one ranking: the best flight sim yokes.

The verdict

The Alpha is the GA pilot's yoke: switches, ignition, a smooth center and support for PC, Mac and Xbox. At $349.99 on October 29, 2026, it isn't the cheapest yoke, and it doesn't pretend to be complete without a throttle.

Pair it with the Bravo and you have a GA desk setup worth building everything else around. Check today's price.
