If you only read one line: on Xbox, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System at $329.99 puts a yoke, a throttle quadrant and a trim wheel in one box, and the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One at $99.99 is the cheapest way off the controller. Here are the 4 Xbox flight controls that plug into the console on their own, ranked. Spec-sheet comparison, not a hands-on test: scores from official spec sheets and US prices.
This ranking brings together yokes and HOTAS. Each score is calculated within its product category, then all products are ranked together by that score.

Pick the main control first. On Xbox, the yoke or stick you buy decides how everything else connects. Choose it for the aircraft you fly most, then build around it. For yoke pilots, the big decision is VelocityOne Flight vs Alpha.
Pedals ride along. The TFRP ($129.99) plug into a compatible Thrustmaster stick or yoke. The Charlie pedals ($349.99) work only with the Alpha XPC or the Honeycomb Xbox Hub. The VelocityOne Rudder ($319.99) uses the VelocityOne Flight's pass-through cable. Our Xbox flight controls guide has the full map.
Yoke or stick. Liners and light aircraft fly with a yoke; jets and helicopters with a stick. On Xbox this list gives you three yokes and one HOTAS, so stick pilots have an easy decision. The yoke vs joystick guide settles the rest.
PC is covered too. All four are also listed for PC, so the purchase follows you if you move to Windows later.
The ranking in detail
Our take: three yokes tie at 9.1/10, so the choice comes down to your airplane. The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System is the complete box, at $329.99 instead of $399.99 on October 29, 2026. The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC at $349.99 is the GA yoke, with a switch panel and a 5-position ignition switch but no throttle, and it's the only one that also lists Mac. The Thrustmaster TCA Yoke Boeing Edition at $399.99 is the Boeing pick: pendular pitch, 8.3 in (21 cm) of travel and two throttle axes on the base, enough to take off without a separate quadrant.
The Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One is the only stick in the list: officially licensed for Xbox, with a detachable throttle and a twist rudder. What you won't find here are the pedals and quadrants that connect through another device, like the Bravo, the Charlie, the TFRP and the VelocityOne Rudder. They do work on Xbox, through the right main control, which is exactly why the main control comes first.

How is this ranking built?
We consider all sticks, HOTAS, yokes, throttles and rudder pedals with stated Xbox compatibility that plug into the console on their own in our data with a price and a score, 4 products in total, and keep the 4 best rated. Each score is calculated within its product category (yokes and HOTAS), with no hands-on test and regardless of any commission.
Why are different categories in one list?
This ranking answers one question across several types of controls. Each product is scored within its own category, then all are ranked together by that score: a yoke and a HOTAS are never scored on the same criteria.
Are the prices up to date?
US prices were checked on October 29, 2026 at official US stores or named US retailers. They can change: the price at the merchant is the one that applies.
