This is a stick for pilots who already know what they like. The WarBRD-D reads X and Y with VIRPIL's contactless magnetic sensors at 14-bit native resolution, and the clutch dampers let you dial in how the stick resists before it moves, axis by axis.
The grip is where the money shows: a metal flip trigger, an analog thumbstick, a lockable twist and a brake lever that works as an axis. Map that lever to wheel brakes on a warbird and taxiing gets a lot less clumsy.
The math first: $289.95 for the right-hand grip plus $259.95 for the base at VIRPIL's US store. VIRPIL doesn't publish a weight for either, and on October 29, 2026 both were on backorder: you can order, but check the shipping date.
PC only, two-year warranty, and the grip needs a VIRPIL base, so this pair is a system you grow into, not a one-off purchase.
