Hall effect sensors with differential toe brakes

Sensor type stated by Honeycomb Aeronautical.

What changes on the ground

Pedals are the upgrade you feel on the ground first. Taxiing with a twist grip is a fight; with differential toe brakes, you brake each wheel on its own and the airplane goes where your feet tell it. Then come the crosswind landings, where your feet hold the centerline while your hands fly.

Honeycomb drives the Hall effect sensors through a belt transmission. Contactless sensors don't wear like potentiometers, and pedals are where that shows: small, steady rudder inputs on short final. Rudder tension adjusts with a knob, and the foot angle is adjustable too.

Desk or home cockpit?

Under the desk works fine. 7.3 kg helps them stay put, and Honeycomb adds rubber grip pads and reversible carpet spikes, so hardwood and carpet both have an answer.

On PC and Mac they connect on their own. On Xbox, Honeycomb lists them only in addition to the Alpha XPC or the Honeycomb Xbox Hub. If your yoke isn't a Honeycomb, put the hub on the list.

Great if you…

  • fly GA or liners with a Honeycomb yoke and want the matching pedals
  • want Hall sensors and toe brakes without going to $599.99
  • fly helicopters and need steady, precise yaw

Skip it if…

  • you fly on PlayStation: Thrustmaster's TFRP lists PS5 through a compatible Thrustmaster stick or yoke
  • the budget is tight: the TFRP is $129.99
  • you fly on Xbox with no Alpha XPC or Honeycomb Xbox Hub in the plan

Better fit elsewhere?

The Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals (TFRP) cost $220 less, with toe brakes and the widest platform list in our pedal data, but Thrustmaster doesn't state the sensor type. Moving up, the Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder uses a pendular mechanism and 16-bit Hall sensors for $599.99, PC only.

In the Turtle Beach world, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Rudder ($319.99) connects to Xbox through the VelocityOne Flight's pass-through cable. All five are in the best flight sim rudder pedals, and our guide asks the real question first: do you need rudder pedals?

The verdict

The Charlie is the set we'd put under a serious desk setup: the top score in our pedal data, Hall sensors, toe brakes, 7.3 kg that won't wander. $349.99 on October 29, 2026.

If the TFRP is the smart first set, the Charlie is the one you don't replace. Check today's price.
