The 3 best budget flight sticks under $100 in 2026
If you only read one line: the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS at $79.99 is the best stick on a tight budget, with Hall sensors and a twist rudder that locks. Here are the 3 rated sticks and HOTAS in this budget, ranked. Spec-sheet comparison, not a hands-on test: scores from official spec sheets and US prices.
This ranking brings together flight sticks and HOTAS. Each score is calculated within its product category, then all products are ranked together by that score.

Twist rudder comes standard. All three have a twist axis, the cheapest way to get rudder without pedals. Pedals can wait until your first gusty crosswind makes the case for them.
Contactless on a budget. Two of the three state contactless sensors: Hall on the T.16000M FCS, magnetic on the URSA MINOR. Those are the sensors that keep the center clean over time, and our Hall effect guide explains why.
A real throttle costs more. The T.16000M FCS only has a small throttle control on its base. The T.16000M FCS HOTAS adds the TWCS throttle for $90 more, and that's the step we'd take as soon as the budget allows.
Xbox narrows it to one. On Xbox, only the T.Flight Hotas One is in this list; the other two are PC only. More console options sit in the best flight sim controls for Xbox.
The ranking in detail
Here's the quick read: $11.29 separates the top two, and they're made for different cockpits. The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS has 16-bit Hall sensors on pitch and roll, 16 buttons and a design that converts between right- and left-handed use. The WINCTRL URSA MINOR Airline Joystick is an Airbus-style sidestick with magnetic sensors on X and Y, a sliding throttle axis in the base and a vibration motor driven by flight data, and at $68.70 it's the lowest price here.
The Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One at $99.99 is the only HOTAS in this budget and the only one that works on Xbox, with a detachable full-size throttle. Thrustmaster doesn't state its sensor type. Cheaper still, the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro lists at $34.99, but it isn't ranked: Logitech publishes too few specs for a score. If it's on your list, read the T.16000M FCS vs Extreme 3D Pro head-to-head first.

How is this ranking built?
We consider all flight sticks and HOTAS under $100 in our data with a price and a score, 3 products in total, and keep the 3 best rated. Each score is calculated within its product category (flight sticks and HOTAS), with no hands-on test and regardless of any commission.
Why are different categories in one list?
This ranking answers one question across several types of controls. Each product is scored within its own category, then all are ranked together by that score: a yoke and a HOTAS are never scored on the same criteria.
Are the prices up to date?
US prices were checked on October 29, 2026 at official US stores or named US retailers. They can change: the price at the merchant is the one that applies.
