A gamepad flies the airplane with two thumbs. This one puts pitch and roll in your right hand and power under your left, with rudder on a twist of the grip or on a rocker on the throttle. Your first flare with a real stick explains, better than any spec sheet, why people bother.
The full-size throttle detaches, so it can sit next to the stick as one unit or apart from it, wherever your left hand falls. Thrustmaster lists 5 axes and 14 action buttons: enough for flaps, gear, trim and views without reaching back for the controller.
What the spec sheet leaves out matters. Thrustmaster states neither the sensor type nor the resolution, which is common at this price and part of why it sits 8 of 8 in our HOTAS ranking. On October 29, 2026, Thrustmaster's own US store also listed it as out of stock at $99.99, so look at the merchant button for current stock.
When pedals come, Thrustmaster's TFRP rudder pedals ($129.99) list Xbox, but they connect through a compatible Thrustmaster stick or yoke, not the console itself: check Thrustmaster's compatibility list first.

On PC, the big step up is the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck: 15 axes and 139 programmable functions for $429.99, but PC only. The Flightdeck vs T.Flight Hotas One head-to-head lays out what the extra $330 buys.
Yoke flying on Xbox? The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System puts a yoke, a quadrant and a trim wheel in one box, at $329.99 instead of $399.99 on October 29, 2026. Every console option is in the best flight sim controls for Xbox.
For an Xbox pilot on a budget, the T.Flight Hotas One is the obvious first buy: licensed, detachable throttle, two ways to fly rudder, $99.99 on October 29, 2026.
It won't win a spec-sheet fight. It just has to get you off the gamepad. Check today's price and stock.
